4th of July Family Pics. and Such

Lucy got to spend her first 4th of July at Grandma and Grandpa Brown's house at the Lake - we had fun taking family photos and putting Lucy in the Lake for the first time. And she got to meet Great Grandpa Thomas...and she kinda pooped on him...but he took it very well =).

For Lucy's 3 month photos we did a Daddy/Daughter shoot in honor of Father's Day. Funny story about that - I made Jon carrot cake pancakes and had thought it would be great fun to make pancakes and have a picnic breakfast near us; however when we got out there - we had EVERYTHING with us except matches to start the little camping grill, so we couldn't make pancakes - bummer! But we had fun taking pictures anyway...and we went home and made our pancakes on the grill in a cast iron skillet. The black and white photos are of Lucy giving Daddy his Father's Day present - Star Wars board books =). Now Lucy will be educated in the ways of the force.

Lucy Loves Carrots!

So it's been a while, but we have a fun little update: Lucy started eating solid food this week. She just hit four and a half months - we took her to the doc. this weekend and she grew 2 3/4 inches and gained 1.5 lbs. - so she's up to 12 1/2 lbs. Our pediatrician gave us the go-ahead to start feeding her some veggie purees so we started with carrots. Yay!
